World Problems
This class meets the requirement for .5 credit of Social Studies credit or elective credit.
Course Objectives:
1) Increase the student’s awareness of world issues and geography
2) Improve the student’s ability to make oral presentations.
3) Improve the student’s ability to complete a research project.
Course Requirements
1) Write 4 research papers on topics from the list provided. Papers will be 3-5 pages in length and persuade the reader of one side of the position. Alternate assignment – powerpoint presentation (PP) presentation format Powerpoint
2) Produce a poster illustrating factual research on a geographic region selected from the list provided. Make an oral presentation of the information to a small group. Geography
