The Senior Seminar is a required class for graduation.   This class meets the requirement for .5 credits.

Course Purpose:

The purpose of the senior project is to demonstrate that students can:

·        Organize and find information

·        Evaluate, analyze and synthesize information

·        Sort and utilize necessary information

·        Write effectively

·        Meet deadlines with good organization

·        Plan ahead to meet tasks and obligations

·        Understand your strengths and weaknesses

·        Effectively use all of the skills that you have learned in school, at home and at the worksite

·        Take the next step into the world of employment and careers

·        Take the next step in life

Course Requirements:

This is a semester course.  Students will complete a Senior Project Portfolio.   

The syllabus with deadlines will be given to each student.  There will be limited time in class to complete assignments. 

Grading:

Ø     Weekly Career Quiz

Ø     Promptness and participation

Ø     Senior Project Portfolio

Each assignment has an established point value.  Failure to meet deadline by one week= loss of 30% pts.  All assignments must be completed.   Students must receive at least 75% of the total points for the Senior Project Portfolio in order to receive a passing grade.
