Grading Policy

The grading policy for grades 9 through 12 shall be:

A = 4.0 A- = 3.7 B+ = 3.3 B = 3.0 B- = 2.7 C+ = 2.3 C = 2.0 C- = 1.7 D+ = 1.3 D = 1.0 F = 0.0 P = Pass NC = No credit

    Each student's grade point average shall be the sum of the point values, as defined above, of all the grades received for all courses attempted, divided by the sum of the credits for all courses attempted. All grades for all courses taken shall be included in the calculation of grade point averages; the "P" grade shall not be computed.

Exceptions:

    Teacher and Office Assistant positions will be graded (P) Pass or (F) Fail. (I) denotes an incomplete grade. Incompletes must be completed within 10 school days after the end of the term. Teachers who give "I" grades are requested to provide appropriate materials to the student to satisfy the course requirements. Upon completion of the requirements, a grade change must be submitted to the counseling office.

Note: Incomplete grades are not issued for spring term.

Add/Drop Procedure for Class Changes (Schedules are made for a full year)

Schedule changes are made for the following reason:

·        Improper placement

·        Course needed to meet graduation requirements

All schedule changes must be made in the Counseling Center by the fifth day of the first semester.
Students wishing to drop a class after the 10th day of the semester may do so with a grade of “F”.

Progress Reports and Report Cards.

Progress reports will formally be sent out half way through each term. Individual teachers will usually send additional progress reports home with the students at appropriate times for the class. Report cards of final grades are distributed to students 2 times a year at the end of each term (every 90 days).
