DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT THIS FRIDAY AGAINST ALL CTE ORGANIZATIONS

Friday, April 25, all Career and Technical Education ( CTE ) organizations will have a dodge ball tournament in the Cedarcrest Gym after-school. Some organizations participating are: FBLA, DECA , SkillsUSA, and FFA. Come participate and show your FBLA Pride!

REGIONAL WINNERS COME HOME EMPTY HANDED BUT SMILES SHINE BRIGHTER

During spring break, Jessica, Nhuchia, Shannon , Ulyber, Jake, Tanner, Zach, and Skylar were all privileged to attend the State Business Conference located in Bellevue . Although they were not able to win any awards, they were able to make many memories and are now a more tight-knit group.

TANNER HAISTINGS SPEAKS AT DUVALL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

On Thursday, February 7, Tanner Haistings, president of the Future Business Leaders of America at Cedarcrest High School presented to the Duvall Chamber of Commerce. Tanner provided information to the business representatives as to FBLA's purpose and mission in its quest to partnership with local businesses. In addition, Mr. Haistings notified the chamber members as to what FBLA could do for the business people of Duvall. FBLA members would like to assist the businesses with small projects, community service projects, and fundraisers. In return, FBLA has asked the members if they would provide opportunities for these future business leaders in the area of part-time jobs, mentorship, job shadowing, advisory committee members, or guest speakers. Donna Bielstein, Career and Technical Education Director, also provided information about the career and technical programs at Cedarcrest High School including business, marketing, media arts, computer science, architectural engineering, agriculture science, and sports medicine. She explained the changed from vocational education to career and technical education and the need for businesses to assist in high school students' skills to compete in high demand jobs in today's workforce. Ms. Bielstein and Tanner wish to thank Bill Falcon for his invitation to speak at the Duvall Chamber of Commerce. They also want to thank the members of the Chamber of Commerce for their enthusiasm and willingness to partner with FBLA in the future.
