NovaNET Credit Retrieval Classes

NovaNET is a program specifically designed as an opportunity for students to retrieve credit for classes in which they have received failing grades. Curriculum for these classes is delivered over the Internet and can be accessed during their class period at school or at home.

Important elements of the program include:

  • When students enter a class they are assigned curriculum units that must be completed to earn credit.

  • Students receive credit for the class when they have completed all assigned units. To receive credit for completing each individual unit, students must complete all activities and pass all tests included within the unit. Students may retake tests or activities until they pass.

  • Students may access the NovaNET program from home, and are able to work on units from home as well as at school. However, ALL  TESTS  MUST  BE  TAKEN  IN  THE  CLASSROOM. If a test is taken at home, the student will be required to retake the test at school. To be able to work at home students will need to check out a set of installation disks from their NovaNET teacher or the LRC.

  • At the end of the semester the students will receive a grade of PASS if they have completed all assigned units. Students who do not complete all assigned units will receive a grade of NC (for no credit).
