I am a 2000 graduate of Central Washington University where I earned a Bachelors Degree in History and Education as well as a Minor in Political Science.  In 2005 I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University.  After graduating from Central Washington University I spent one year teaching in the Seattle School District before coming to Cedarcrest High School in 2002 where I teach Modern World History and Senior Seminar.  Outside of the classroom I am the Defensive Coordinator for the Redwolves Football team as well as the Wide Receivers and Linebacker coach.

     During my years Central Washington University I played football for the Wildcats as a defensive back.  I was also fortunate enough to meet my wonderful wife Angela during my time at Central and in 2004 we had our first child, Gabriel.  When people ask me why I became a teacher I usually respond with this, " People need someone to look up to…that someone is me…at CHS…or anywhere else I might be…in my humble opinion".  Then I follow it up with a little song.

                  "I believe the children are our future
                   Teach them well and let them lead the way
                   Show them all the beauty they possess inside"
