Professional
I am a 1997 graduate of Seattle University where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Ecology.  In 2000 I also earned my Masters Degree in Education from Western Washington University.  I have been teaching in the Riverview School District since 2000 where I starting my career at Tolt Middle School before moving to Cedarcrest in 2004.  Outside of the classroom I am also the Head Boys Soccer Coach for the Cedarcrest Redwolves and I have held that position since 2003.  In the spring of 2007 my team enjoyed its most successful season in years as they captured the Cascade Conference Championship and made their first trip to the state playoffs where they ended up finishing eighth.  In 2006 I was named first team all good looking at CHS by my fellow social studies teacher, and during the 2006-2007 school year I was named Coach of the Year for the Cascade Conference boys soccer season.

Personal
I am a graduate of Highline High School in Burien, Washington (center of the known universe), and I currently live in Snoqualmie (not the center of the known universe).  I have been married to my wife Amy since 2003 and we have a beautiful daughter named Madeline.  I was born in New York and have also lived in Alaska, and Washington. I have traveled to, and spent time in, many countries around the world.  I have had the great fortune to play soccer my whole life at all levels of competition.  Currently I spend most of my recreational time golfing, fishing, and bird hunting with my dog named Whiskey.
