The 2000 baseball season started out with a trip to San Diego. After spending a day at
Sea World, we went up in the mountains to play two sets of games--against Mountain Empire
and Julian. It had amazed us to learn that a week earlier (March 15) both of these schools
had been out of school because of SNOW.

The KINGCO League this year was the toughest in the state. Skyline and Issaquah ended
up playing for the Washington State AAA title--with Issaquah winning. Earlier in the year
Skyline had beaten Issaquah all three times they had played.
This year we relied on three starting pitchers: Marc Medley, Justin Garland, and Luke
Majerle. In relief we used underclassmen TJ Upton, Dan Amador, and Sean McDonald. Matt
Cain handled all the catching this year; Nick Rich and Scott Schnaible handled the duties
at first base; RJ Wickstrom (coming back from Eastlake) was our second baseman; Nick
Blanchard at shortstop; Cody Wheeler at third base; and outfielders Marc Medley, Matt
Geiger, Casey Pettersen, Luke Majerle, Sean McDonald, TJ Upton, and Dan Amador.
