A Father's Revenge

Susan was only 9 years old when she began visiting her father's grave three times a year. The first day was his birthday, January 8. The Second day was Father's Day, and the third day was the day he died, October 31. Every time she visited the graveyard she would give each grave one red rose, including her father's grave. In addition to one red rose, she would give her father a large bouquet of white roses. She gave a red flower to every grave because if you had a red flower on your grave that meant you were loved. She gave her father a white bouquet of roses because if you had a bouquet of white flowers on your grave you were somebody's hero.  She chose roses because if you had a rose on your grave you were important to somebody.

She was respectful and cared for every single grave in that specific graveyard, even the graves of people she had never even heard of, met, or liked. Because of this, she was never harmed, scared, or bothered by any of the ghosts that lived in the graveyard. However, all ghosts on Halloween would travel to many places trying to scare all the people they could, and those that were new-comers to Susan's father's grave, did not know to leave her be.

When Halloween came, Susan brought orange candles to decorate the grave, along with her usual set of flowers. As she entered the grave she heard a soft pounding noise. She thought of the noise as a soft beat on a bongo drum continuously repeating the same beat. At first she thought nothing of it because she was focused on talking to the graves. This was a normal thing for Susan to do, even though she knew that she would never get a response.

She did not start to get scared until she hard a quiet voice, saying something too fuzzy to understand. However, she ignored the voice and resumed to her normal routine. After she was finished with placing a rose on every grave, she walked to her father's grave and gave him his two sets of roses. Then she began talking to his grave as if he were there to respond.

She stopped mid-sentence because she had a feeling that somebody was watching her. She turned around and saw an old man with a knife starring at her with beady little black eyes. She looked away, swearing to herself that she was just seeing things. Moments later she looked back and he was still there. Only this time she noticed two things, one, he was softly playing a bongo drum, and two, his mouth was moving, but the sound was too fuzzy to understand.

This was too much for her, and she began to run away from the graveyard. She opened her mouth to scream, but nothing came out. She no longer could move, and she was mysteriously pinned to the ground, although there was no one actually doing so.  Gasping for air, Susan struggled for breath, wishing somebody would help her.

No matter how hard she tried, Susan could not resist the pressure placed upon her. She realized she was being choked in her father's graveyard, and nobody was there to help her. Nobody would believe this even if there was somebody there to help her.

As she breathed her last breath, she was able to mumble only one last sentence, "Save me dad. Please, I never meant to let you die, please save me!"

Waiting for a miracle to take place, she starred at her father's grave. When nothing happened, she died, mysteriously being choked to death by no apparent person. As she became a ghost herself, she found her father. "Dad, why'd you do it? How could you kill me like that?"
