            American history would not be complete without an analysis of the causes and effects of war. War has played a major part in our country for a very long time, for better or for worse. The results of war define many eras, it controls how people live and act. The reason we need to know the causes is so we can prevent the devastation that war usually brings about. We need to learn from our mistakes. Without the study of war, we wouldn't really know much about the reasons our country lived the way it did and we wouldn't be able to stop preventable wars.
