The Revolutionary War first started with the colonists believed they need democratic rights as Englishmen. They were ruled by Britain's King George. The colonists were helped by the French during the War. There were many political reasons for their rebellion. They had problems with taxes. It all ended when Great Britain signed the Treaty of Paris on September 3rd, 1783. Major battles of the war include: *Battle of Concord and Lexington *Battle of Germantown *Battle of Yorktown
