World War II World War II was a major war, in which many of the countries with the most global power were involved in. This includes the United States of America. The U.S. was involved in this war from 1939 to 1945. What really got the U.S. involved in this huge war was, the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. Some of the countries that were against the U.S. in WWII were: Germany, Italy, and Japan. The president when WWII started was Franklin D. Roosevelt. What finally caused this war to come to a close, was the Bombing of Hiroshima from the U.S. on Japan, and Adolf Hitlers suicide. Five WWII battles were, Pearl Harbor, The Battle of Coral Sea, The Battle of Bamber Bridge, and The invasion of Italy.
