World War II 1937 - 1945
The war started in 1937 but America did not join in until Pearl Harbor on December 7th,1941. What caused the war, was Hitler coming into power and Germany invading Poland. Franklin Roosevelt was President during this time. The main Allies were America, England, France, Denmark and China. Also the main Axis powers were Germany, Japan, Soviets and Italy. Why the war happened was because of Hitler taking power and drawing Italy and Japan into his plans for the rest of the world and the perfect race. What caused the end of the war is Hitler committing suicide and the nuclear bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
