THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

          The American Revolution is a key part of America's history.  It marks the birth of this country.  The American Revolution occurred from 1775 to 1783.  The major countries involved were Great Britain and the American Colonies.  The causes of this war were quite numerous.  They include the French and Indian War, the Quartering Act, and the new taxes imposed by the British.  The climaxing event of the war was the Battle of Yorktown when Cornwallis surrendered to Washington.
