THE CIVIL WAR

The Civil War happened between 1861-1865. Jefferson Davis and later on Abe Lincoln were the Presidents at this time.  There was arguement about slavery between the north and south states. This led to a war between the southern confederates and northern union. This war took up almost all of the supplies on both sides although the north had most of the factories in the country while the south had most of the railroad tracks. This war ended by the confederate general being captured and forced to surrender.

Major battles of the war include:

Battle of Nashville, Petersburg, Antietam, Gettysburg.
