World War II

During the start of World War 2 Franklin Delano Roosevelt was president.  Major players in this war were Italy, Japan, France, Germany, Austria, The United States, The Soviet Union, and Great Britain.  The war began abruptly when Germany, under Nazi control freaked out and invaded the land around it, like Poland, Finland, Denmark, and Norway.  The United states did not get involved until Japan bombed Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.  Eventually after a long bout with the crazed forces oversea, Germany was subdued, and the good old USA nuked Japan.  Twice.  Nagasaki and Hiroshima were decimated, and Japan had no choice but to surrender.

Major battles of the war include:

The battle of Britain

The battle of Norway

The battle of Burma

The battle of Poland

The battle of Finland

The battle of Denmark
