Lab Science

 This class meets the requirement for .5 credit of Lab Science credit or elective credit. 

 Course Objectives:

1)     Increase the student’s awareness of their personal systems

2)     Understand and apply the scientific process in lab projects, readings and papers

3)     Improve the student’s ability to make oral presentations.

4)     Improve the student’s ability to complete a research project.

 Materials:

1)     HRM DVD Series

2)     Handouts and websites

Course Requirements

Assignments will be made on weekly and due the following week.  Keep up with all reading weekly.  You will be responsible to keep a lab notebook that includes notes and lab work.

Grades

Class participation    50%

Tests,Lab Writeups   50%

          in class work

You will be graded on your research, concentration and  ability to communicate and your integration of the scientific process into your labs and writing.
