Season Highlights:

1)    14 athletes in 10 events competed at the state meet.  Most athletes at one state meet.  Most events filled at one state meet. 

State Placers

Jackson Pleis - 5th in triple jump and 8th in long jump (First CHS athlete to place in two events at the same state meet since 2001)

Bre Decker - 6th in triple jump.  (First CHS girl to place in a field event)

Kelli Quist - 7th in 300m Hurdles. (First CHS athlete to place in a laned event since 2001)

Cara Strodel - 8th in 1600m.  (Fourth time that a CHS athlete has placed in that event - Most ever for one event)

Other state competitors were Adam Candland (400m), Brenna Eldredge (3200m), Ned Flynn (Pole Vault), Jackson Pleis (High Jump) and the Boys 4x400m relay team of Tyler Erickson, Clay Hammontree, Derek Thompson, Adam Candland, Hernan Farias & Josh Denison.

2) Five school records are broken.  Bre Decker (Long Jump & Triple Jump), Adam Candland (400m), Ned Flynn (Pole Vault) and 4x400m team of Hernan Farias, Clay Hammontree, Tyler Erickson & Adam Candland.

3) Cascade League Champions: Boys: Ned Flynn (Pole Vault)  Girls:  Brenna Eldredge (3200m)

4)  Northwest District Champions:  Boys: Ned Flynn (Pole Vault)     Girls:  None.

    District Placers:  Boys:  Eight events.    Girls:  Nine events.

5)  51 athletes finished the season.  Most ever since 1998.
